Hi I have 6 herbertaxelrodi that are 2 weeks new to my tank. 75 gallon with 9 dwarf neon rainbows 2 dwarf gouramis 19 neon tetras and 2 baby bristlenose plecos The axelrodi had been fine and seemed well acclimated, eating, swimming normal. About 5 days ago they started swimming in filter current constantly in a neurotic fashion only stopping to dart around tank and right back to current. No matter how I place the current they find it within seconds and start again. They will still stop to eat. Today I noticed ich on only those 6 fish (I believe their crazed constant swimming brought it on from stress). I removed them for a 1 hour dip in Paraguard today and have returned to tank where they are right back to current swimming. I am treating the tank with a herbal formula due to plants and shrimp. Any ideas of why this neurotic current swimming would have started? I always have stable water parameters and perform water changes and gravel vac weekly. Wull try to post pic.
